For student designers to be eligible for participation in the showcase, the following requirements must be met:   •1.        Student designer must be currently enrolled in a fashion design, fashion merchandising or fashion management program in the US. •2.        Student designer must be able to produce one outfit for the showcase and provide shoes and accessories for the model. The Miami Style Prelude and Showcase will take place March 19, 2009 at SOHO Studios in the Wynwood Art District.  The show will be attended by local, national and international press, buyers, celebrities and VIP guests as your newest collections are presented to the world.  One designer will be chosen as the "Best Emerging Designer of the Year" and presented with an award at the closing Miami Moda Awards® show on March 22, 2009.  The judges ruling is final. For designers to be eligible for participation in the prelude, the following requirements must be met:      1.      Designer must have been in business for a minimum of two (2) years but less than (5) years continually designing collections with a minimum of two (2) collections per year.    2.      Designer must produce a minimum of 10 pieces per collection.      3.      Designer must be selling garments in at least one store.    4.      Designer must live and work in the State of Florida.
