There are people, who define success with the number of tasks that they have undertaken, and there are some that measure their success with their achievements, Komal Sodhi Anand is one of the latter. Having spent most part of her life in India where she handled and managed fashion shows for most of the corporates, she wanted to contribute her bit to bring a new dimension to the ever-growing fashion industry.

Having studied fashion designing, yet moving away from the conventional designing of clothes, she decided to showcase her talent on the ramp rather than the window displays. What started out as a passion for creative presentation through innovative and creative choreography turned to a career where she flourished with elan.

Innovation has always been Komal's strength, be it in music, styling, choreography or presentation and she only extended it to the world arena.

After having establishing her talent in the domestic markets in India through shows spread over 5 years and countless shows, she decided to enter the International market with her first voyage of choreography for the Indian Showcase at the Australian Fashion Week in Melbourne . The show which saw a scintillating display of fashion by a set of models from Australia and India on a common ramp earned rave reviews in the media as well as the audience at the fashion week only boosted her to venture further.

It was only a matter of time before the international market motivated her to introduce the Indian Fashion industry to the world. This effort is now being realized, as she plans to showcase India and it's richness at the Fashion Week America at Miami .

It will be the first time that select Indian designers would showcase their collection at a Fashion Week at the Fashion week of Americas .

This is only the first step towards introducing Indian Fashion talent to the world, as she plans to take the Indian Showcase to other international fashion weeks across the world.

“It'll only be my small contribution to exposing the world to the vast traditional and traditional heritage of India ” she says with a sense of achievement. “It's the right time now, as India is establishing itself not only as a developing nation but a world force”.
