Meet The Team
Sergio Salerni
Known as the Master of the Catwalk, Salerni took his first steps as long ago as 1985, when he founded the video production company Videogang in Milan, which is now flanked by Urban Production, a multitasking structure that carries out events and projects worldwide related to the fashion scene in Milan, Paris and the new capitals of luxury, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Miami, Dubai, New York and Hong Kong. In the course of his career, he has directed runway shows for Versace, Valentino and Gianfranco Ferré and his reportage videos have travelled the world. The New York Times once described him as "the wizard behind Versace". He has conceived projects for many leading brands, including Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Diesel and CP Company, as well as several up-and-coming stylists.
Esther García
Based in Barcelona (Spain), was founded by Esther García & Marisol Carrion in 1996. They had the idea of creating a unique take in the field of design and event production. Today, ESMA is recognized internationally for their quality in fashion staging and direction, ephemeral installations, product launches and event design. In addition, this company is responsible for the production and direction of Barcelona 080. Among their top clients, ESMA has produced for Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Del Pozo New York Fashion Week, Loewe, Ermenegildo Zegna, among many others. ESMA is responsible for the model casting, fittings and backstage during MIAFW.
Michela Crosa
An esteemed business strategist, Michela Crosa is an expert in defining brand identity and communication. She progresses business ideas that emerge through long-term leadership in the fashion industry, thanks also to her multicultural life and work experiences. Michela has served as commercial director and general coordinator for leading brands including Dolce&Gabbana, Costume National and Valentino. After a successful career, she has chosen to bring her know-how to many international companies and corporations as an independent consultant. What has enabled her to achieve these milestones is a unique blend of charisma, professional skills, a focus on team building and an international market vision… plus a pinch of dream and imagination.
Lourdes F. Velasco
Highly accomplished executive, specialized in marketing and branding. She has been in the media industry for over 12 years, focusing on fashion since 2015. She serves as executive managing director for Miami Fashion Week, and was responsible for the rebranding of the event in 2016. Member of the CFDA since 2017, Lourdes and team have created ancillary events such as Miami Fashion Week Summit.
Content being one of the key drivers of MIAFW new era, she works closely in creating strong partnerships with both
specialized and general media like Univision, NBCUniversal, E! Entertainment…
